These ratings are generally based on surveys of students, parents and job recruiters, singly or in various combinations. In the case of the universities, a number of rating systems use the average salary of graduates as the criterion or as one component of the criterion for ranking schools. Though ratings of the best schools at times consist only of lists without reviews of what each school offers. School directories give further detailed information, and yet again the best ones are independent of the schools themselves. Common information included could be the class size, fee structure, size of the student body, academic matters, written reports by students, parents, etc. Good review websites will have information on the school's performance including grade performance of pupils, graduation rates, and dropout rates. There should be wide information on courses and also degrees offered. Also, the review websites should offer the state of the school's infrastructure together with the availability of computers and internet connection, and the quality of the school's libraries. Staff size, quality and staff turnover rates are important considerations to be mentioned on review websites. The website should provide information on the state of the school's buildings and the general atmosphere and environment of the school. Recreational facilities like arcades, swimming pools, gyms and outdoor facilities should be included. It should also display the best school reviews either public or private school. The major search engines are always a good place to start.
