  1. Where’s my ring? By Jennifer Grech

  2. Last year, Marie was washing her clothes by the river. When Marie was ready she noticed that her ring was not on her hand. She looked everywhere for it but there was no sign of her ring. Marie became even more upset. This ring was very special to her because it had been given to her by her best friend.

  3. The next day Marie’s dad went fishing. He only caught one fish. Marie was still thinking about the ring she had lost the day before. When her dad arrived home, her mum took the fish from dad’s hands, put in a pan and started cooking it.

  4. When the fish was ready, Marie’s family sat down and started to eat. Suddenly, Marie felt something hard in her mouth . When she took it out she saw something shiny. Marie couldn’t believe her eyes. It was her ring. Marie was happy that she had got her ring back. I still can’t understand how it hadn’t occurred to her that the ring could have fallen in the river.
