  2. Welcome • Welcome to sunny Barcelona!  Did I say sunny? • Beware of pickpockets (as in any other big city)

  3. Conference Venue • UAB (Autonomous University of Barcelona) manages this modernist building, Casa Convalescència, which forms part of the Hospital de la Santa CreuiSant Pausite • Declared a Monument of Historical, Artistic Interest and part of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO

  5. Workshop registration • At the registration you are provided with • a badge • the formal bill • certificate of attendance • details for the social dinner • the social dinner ticket (for those attending to it) • If you miss something, just tell us!

  6. WiFi Access • Easy access – see your badge for details • No need for a XC4fG0989LOSpQ!llkSQ-like password 

  7. Contacts/help • Ada Trilla-Kessler will help you with anything you need during the conference (and myself will be glad to help) • Mari Carmen Porto will help during social dinner • Indeed, any PIC colleague can help as well if needed (just look for them!) • Use wlcgbarcelona2014@pic.es at your convenience • To send your boarding passes for printing, for example • Registration desk available today at the ground level • Tuesday/Wednesday desk will be in this room

  8. Coffee breaks/Tuesday lunch • They will be served in this building (ground level) • Please, take note that this is a public, crowded and open building: beware of your belongings! • We’ll lock the door during Tuesday lunch • we most likely don’t during coffee breaks

  9. Social Dinner • Restaurant La Gavina(Plaça Pau Vila, 1, Barcelona) • Placed in ‘Barceloneta’ area, just in front of the dock • Easy reachable through L4 metro line (yellow) • Details provided with your registration documents • No bus will be provided by the organisation • If weather allows for it, we’ll have the dinner on the restaurant terrace... • The dinner starts at 20h30 sharp • Be on time and bring your social dinner ticket! :) • After the dinner, there are very nice cocktail places around (Born area)
