  2. OLDI data impacted by 2012 FPL 1. Equipment Capability and Status • 4 Items currently specified in OLDI messages • Mandatory • RVSM • 8.33 KHz/UHF • Bilaterally agreed • Mode S • B-RNAV/P-RNAV 2. Co-ordination point and Route- Reference point for range and bearing

  3. Current OLDI (Edition 4.1) • Equipment capability and status in Basic messages (ABI, ACT, etc.) • RVSM- letter W • 8.33 KHZ/UHF- Letters Y/U • Mode S - Letters S and I • B-RNAV/PRNAV- Letters R and P • Fix (three letters) for reference point for range and bearing

OLDI after FPL 2012 • Equipment capability and status in Basic messages (ABI, ACT, etc.) • RVSM - letter W- no change • 8.33 KHZ/UHF - Letters Y/U no change • Mode S- Letters E, H, I, L and S • B-RNAV/PRNAV- Letter R for PBN approved and combination of letters and digits in Item 18 • Significant point (five letters) as reference for range and bearing (as co-ordination point or in route description)

  5. System changes • Neighbours’ plans will impact system changes • Depending on level of implementation and dates for migration a translation function might be required • Local operational concept will have an impact (e.g. use of RNAV information for route allocation) • Transition will be managed at local level and should be planned and co-ordinated with neighbours as early as possible
