Social capital development as a tool of youth civic participation in Eastern Europe countries

This project aims to promote youth engagement and impact in Eastern Europe through the development of social capital. Participants will work together to identify challenges, create solutions, and produce educational materials on key topics. The event encourages networking, learning, and the sharing of knowledge among youth from different countries.

  2. THE PLAN FOR TODAY! • 4 short presentation – Lithuania, Romania, Estonia and Poland – during the day MAIN ACTIVITIES: • 10:45 - 11:45 Setting challenges/problems on topics given to each group ( you will be divided in groups) • 12:00 - 13:00 Solutionsto challenges/problems specified earlier •  14:30 - 15:30 Summarization of challenges/problems and solutions, creating short educational videos, blogs, texts or other materials on TOP 3 priorities in each topic • 16:00 - 16:50 Presentation of videos and other materials (3-5 min) created by participants

Why do I want to participate? • I want to help my country • I want to be able change and impact; its important to stimulate engagement of youth • I want to express my view about youth engagement • To seek for new solution together with other youth in international environment • I want to learn how to make educational video • Because I am worried about what happens in our society • I study social inequality among youth and I want to get new learning about social capital • I want to know more about social capital, exchange views • I want other youth to be active • I want to cooperate with other countries youth

  4. What do I expect from the event? • Around 80% have stated ‘’ New contacts establishment and networking’’ • New experience – 70% • Tools for youth engagement and information about EU processes – around 60% • Increased yoth activity - 50%

  10. Willingness to create, maintain and develop networks is understood as “social capital”. In other words it can be also described as community coming together to be a collective source of change. Core idea "that social networksbuild by personal relationship  have value“. SOCIAL CAPITAL
