  3. Our Mission Spread quality education to the underprivileged children in all corners of Pakistan. Actively involving the youth to take part in building the educational foundation of this country is our approach. We will not only provide quality education but build a sense of responsibility in our students allowing them to become conscious citizens.

  4. The Manzil Story… • The Manzil Educational Organization is an NGO which started on the 21st September 2002. • A student visited the underprivileged area of Raiti Lines, Bath Island where the school is today and witnessed the death of children as they played on the railway tracks. • These children did not have any place to play let alone get educated. She then decided to start a school on 1 unit with 15 children from her pocket money of Rs. 1500.

What we do? • Establish Schools • Core Curriculum: English, Mathematics, Science, Urdu, Computer Studies, Islamic Studies and Research. • Extra-Curricular: performing plays in universities such as IBA and IoBM, carrying out recycling projects, going for field trips to McDonald’s and parks, sports days, student body ceremony, report card distribution day, etc.

  6. Skill Development: We give children 'hunr' classes in cooking, stitching, khaadiwork in order to become proficient in their skills and earn a living. • Character building • Event management and execution: plays, fundraisers, award shows, carnivals, eidmillans and other celebrations. • Home Khuddar Pakistani brands namely Sprinkles by Manzil, Rung by Manzil and Stationery.

  7. School Adoption Program (SAP) • Jamshed School has been adopted by Manzil • Consists of 1700 students; morning and afternoon shift

  8. Vision for SAP: Adopt a government school with a large capacity of students, provide administrative and managerial support to the infrastructure, students and teachers.

  10. Phase 1: Infrastructure • Outlook on Manzil’s philosophy • Create a sense of ownership • Allow for infrastructure development: • Washrooms • Clean drinking water • Play ground • Paint • Canteen • Desks, fans, lights • Nursery Aim: Enable the students to benefit from school facilities

  11. Phase 2: Students • Create a sense of bonding • Make them self reliant and sustainable through setting up a students council, drama club for plays and fundraisers and melas, and vocational training Aim: Allow students to be self sufficient and confident

  12. Phase 3: Teachers • Foster good relationships • Gather their suggestions and make them feel custodians of change Aim: Enable teachers to own the project and fell empowered
