Report from the Membership Chair • Membership development Retreat at IEEE HQ: • Want us to come up with a comprehensive list of NPSS benefits • Need especially to look at membership turnaround (renewals after 1st year, I will • look into this soon) • Does cross-financing of membership by conference budgets make sense? • Focus on „21st century benefits“, ieee.tv, virtual community etc. • Booth itself was upgraded by a laptop computer • At-the-conference benefits under discussion: • - „New member“ ribbon • - free phone calls (through Skype) • Related issues: membeship grade elevation Ch.
