  3. Requirements • For men to go to war they had to be 19- 36 years old, but many people pretended to be older, they also had to be 6,5 tall without any shoes on, and needed a chest 34 inches.

  4. Ambush at Gallipolli The Anzacs arrived too far inland from the proper place to attack and were immediately ambushed by the Turks.

  5. Life at War • The life at war was harsh, full of disease and mud and horrible food.

  6. Evacuation • The war became too much for the Anzacs, so they secretly evacuated, without the Turks knowing. When they left they set timers so the guns would fire.

  7. Poems • Anzacs were true heroes • No one was afraid of leaving • Zero people were happy at Gallipolli • Amazingly, they didn’t retreat straight away. • Cook Anzacs biscuits to remember them. • Sad story to remember. 
