  2. Warm Up, August 27th, 2013 1) The chemical symbol for salt is NaCl. The Na stands for Sodium and the Cl stands for Chlorine. The fact that they are together makes them a compound. 2) An atom is comprised of three key subatomic particles: electron, proton, neutron. Warm Up, August 28th, 2013
