  2. Introduction • Associated with a high frequency of morbilliform rashes • Maculopapular rashes are seen in 90% with EBV receiving ampicillin.

  3. Mechanism • Unknown ! • Non-allergic reaction • Viral infections increased levels of IL5 upregulates expression of MHC class II antigens on keratinocytes. • Drug binds to MHC class II antigens and T cells can recognise the bound drug directly

  4. Management • Clear spontaneously
