Objectives To develop training modules and perform a training programme on AQM for the less developed countries in Asia Main addressees: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, East Timor, Lao People’s Republic, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal Other addressees: Iraq (?), Myanmar (?), Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam

  4. Work Packages • Assessment of AQM training needs and capacity of LDCs • Collation and preparation of training materials • Organisation and hosting of two regional training courses on AQM in Asia • Translation and dissemination of training material

Activities of WP 1 • Questionnaire survey of national and local government authorities (31.07.2005) • Collation of conclusions of recent regional workshops and conferences (31.07.2005) • Review meeting and preparation of short report on AQM training needs and capacity (Mtg.: 30.08. – 01.09. 2005; Report: 15.09.2005)
