Revised GC-1 Addendum • Background: • The current GC1 Addendum was designed to work with the BGT cost share system. • Cost Share system and procedures have changed to align with compliance issues and data requests. • The current GC1 Addendum does not align data in a manner that is consistent with the eFECS cost share system. • Reduce discrepancies between planned cost share and what the cost share system displays.

Revised GC-1 Addendum • The form is in Excel so it is expandable and collapsible to meet your needs • The workbook contains two worksheets. • First worksheet is the form to be submitted. • Second worksheet is detailed instructions for completing the form. • The cells shaded in Green represent data to be entered into the Cost Share Module (CSM)

  4. Revised GC-1 Addendum Several department administrators have reviewed and tested the new form. The general feedback was that it was easier to understand than the old form—but There may be a problem completing it at the time the proposal is put together.

  5. Time of Award process of the GC-1 Addendum-Effective 7/1/10 At the time of proposal preparation, complete as much detail in the cost sharing section of the eGC-1 as possible. Don’t complete the GC-1 addendum until the proposal is funded.

  6. Time of Award process of the GC-1 Addendum-Effective 7/1/10 • When OSP receives the award, OSP will notify PI and Dept Administrator and will request the GC-1 Addendum for this award. • Dept Administrator will complete the GC-1 Addendum and forward it to OSP staff who requested it.

  7. Time of Award process of the GC-1 Addendum-Effective 7/1/10 • OSP Administrator will review and upload the GC-1 addendum to the Funding Action. • OSP will forward the Funding Action (FA) with GC-1 Addendum to GCA to set up account and cost sharing in the eFECS cost share system. • Departments will report detailed actual cost sharing Non-FEC expenditure information to GCA quarterly.

  8. Time of Award process of the GC-1 Addendum-Effective 7/1/10 • If the GC-1 Addendum is not sent to OSP at the time the Funding Action is ready to be sent to GCA, OSP will forward the Funding Action to GCA with restricted 02 status • OSP will set flag to disallow advance budget on the referenced GC-1

  9. Time of Award process of the GC-1 Addendum-Effective 7/1/10 • When OSP receives the GC-1 Addendum, OSP will issue a Post-Award Change (PAC) to GCA to release restriction. • Departments will report detailed actual cost sharing Non-FEC expenditure information to GCA quarterly.
