  6. BALANCED DIET It is so important take it and get fit and smart.

  7. A BALANCED DIET A balanced diet is a key element for a long and healthy life. A diet is considered to be balanced if it consists of the right proportions of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals, and also meets the calorie requirements of our body. Therefore, to lose weight and to stay fit, you need not have to try tons of fad diets. Rather, you should follow a balanced diet plan and eat everything in moderation. You must have carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins, minerals salts and fiber in the correct proportions. If there is not enough protein, you will not be able to grow properly and you will not be able to repair yourself i.e. wounds will not heal properly. If you do not have enough energy containing foods you will feel very tired, you will not have enough energy. If you have too much energy containing foods you will become overweight. If you think that you are overweight you might try taking more exercise to "burn off" some of the excess food which you ate at you last meal. In November Dr. Kehkashan mother of Umaima khan came in our branch of THE CITY SCHOOL Jr Girls Gulshan. She gave a speech on balanced diet. She told us that soft drinks are the enemy of calcium. She was having only 15 minutes to speak but she explained each and every thing nicely in those 15 minutes. She gave answers of our questions and addressed our queries well . I think she enjoyed being in our school and was comfortable here a lot. ALISHBA RIZVI V-T

Every one brought some recycle material like flower basket, pencil holder, flower pot etc. I also brought pencil holder from an empty bottle of Pepsi. I pasted a paper on it, and put some pencils in it. Madam was very happy by seeing all of ours creations. We should recycle things instead of throwing them. In this we can use any thing that is not in use in order to make it a usable item. Like student converted the old thrown away baskets into beautiful baskets. we should recycle more and more things and make them usable for us. In this way we can conserve our resources for the generation to come. Zara Imran VI W We observed recycle day on 16th November 2010 we all brought things from our homes which were made of recycled material. Only few people know that recycling wastes products conserves water ,energy ,trees and helps reduce pollution in our drinking water and air ,possibly a more important reason to recycle is because it will reduce pollution in or society .recycling also keeps material ,which can pollute the air and create several ash residue recycling prevents the emissions of many green house gases and waste reduction after direct development opportunities for communities .
