  9. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5

  10. What Are We To Do When Life Is Difficult & God Is Silent . . . Recognize our place with those in authority.

  11. “Obey the king’s command, I say, because you took an oath before God.” Ecclesiastes. 8:2

  12. Remind the people to be subject to rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is good,

  13. to slander no one, to be peaceable and considerate, and to show true humility toward all men. Titus 3:1-2

  14. What Are We To Do When Life Is Difficult & God Is Silent . . . Don’t try to controlevery situation. Ecclesiastes. 8:3-5

  15. Do not be in a hurry to leave the king's presence. Do not stand up for a bad cause, for he will do whatever he pleases.

  16. Since a king's word is supreme, who can say to him, "What are you doing?" [5] Whoever obeys his command will come to no harm,

  17. and the wise heart will know the proper time and procedure. Ecclesiastes 8:3-5

  18. He said to his men, "The LORD forbid that I should do such a thing to my master, the LORD's anointed, or lift my hand against him; for he is the anointed of the LORD." I Samuel 24:6

  19. What Are We To Do When Life Is Difficult & God Is Silent . . . Don’t fixate on your circumstances.

  20. “For there is a proper time and procedure for every matter, though a man’s misery weighs heavily upon him.” Ecclesiastes 8:6

  21. What Are We To Do When Life Is Difficult & God Is Silent . . . Realize that sin enslaves people and brings them painone day.

  22. “No man has power over the wind to contain it; so no one has power over the day of his death. As no one is discharged in time of war, so wickedness will not release those who practice it.” Ecclesiastes 8:8

  23. What Are We To Do When Life Is Difficult & God Is Silent . . . Regardless of what happens—choose to fear Godand enjoy life.

  24. Although a wicked man commits a hundred crimes and still lives a long time, I know that it will go better with God-fearing men, who are reverent before God.

  25. Yet because the wicked do not fear God, it will not go well with them, and their days will not lengthen like a shadow.[15]So I commend the enjoyment of life,

  26. because nothing is better for a man under the sun than to eat and drink and be glad. Then joy will accompany him in his work all the days of the life God has given him under the sun. Eccl. 8:12-13, 15

  27. TWO IMPORTANT SUGGESTIONS 1 When you can’t control things, rest in the sovereignty of God.

  28. TWO IMPORTANT SUGGESTIONS 2 Don’t abandon your faith because you can’t figure it out.
