  1. Matthew O’Neal Spring Valley High School Marching Band

  2. GENERAL INFO! • Spring Valley High School is located in northern Wayne Co, WV. • The marching band is roughly 15% of the school’s total population. • They compete against other area marching bands and play at most football games, home and away.

  3. Directors • Thomas R. Chaffin (top) was the director of the SVMB for 12 years. • Joe Hardin (bottom) was the assistant from 2002-2011, and took over as head director when Mr. Chaffin retired at the end of the 2011 school year.

  4. Football Games • The band supports the football team at nearly all of their games. We miss maybe 1 per year. Above is a pie chart showing the percentage of games the band supports the team at. Above is a pie chart showing how often the football team returns the favor and supports the band….
