  1. What makes the Renault TRIBER India’s hottest selling car? India is the world’s youngest country today. With an average age of just 29 years, close to 64% of population lies in the working age group. This is one of the reasons why SUVs and MPVs are fuelling the growth of automobile market in the country. In 2019, Utility vehicles (UVs) had cornered about 41% of the market share of the market. Within UVs, there were two cars which gathered the most attention: the MPV Ertiga and compact SUV Renault DUSTER. Both cars catered to different needs, but they commanded great respect from customers. Falling in the mid-range, the Ertiga starts at Rs. 7.59 Lacs and the Renault DUSTER at Rs. 8.49 Lacs (both prices Ex-showroom Delhi). This means that customers at lower price point had to settle for a 5-seater hatchback or a compact sedan. There was no way that these customers could opt for a 7-seater car for the price of a 5-seater. However, the Renault TRIBER changed this completely. The Renault TRIBER came with a price tag of Rs. 4.99 Lacs (Ex-showroom Delhi) and offered a value proposition that the customer simply couldn’t refuse.
