  6. Oorzaken voedselcrisis • De combinatie van een aantal ontwikkelingen veroorzaakt de voedselcrisis. • Groei wereldbevolking. • Veranderend eetpatroon BRIC-landen (Brazilië, Rusland, India en China) • Er is 10 kg graan nodig voor 1 kg vlees!

Energiecrisis: • Fossiele brandstoffen raken op! • Biobrandstoffen moeten in de toekomst de fossiele brandstoffen vervangen. • Toekomst: biobrandstof uit gewassen die niet bruikbaar zijn als voedsel.(zoals: maisstengels, olifantengras of zeealgen). • Is dat een oplossing??? • Nee, je blijft veel kostbare grond gebruiken en daarmee houd je het voedselprobleem overeind. • Wat is dan wel een oplossing? • Technologische vernieuwingen • Bijv: ITER (kernfusie)

  8. Mondiale economie! • Er hoeft maar ‘iets’ te gebeuren of de wereldeconomie word beïnvloed!

  10. Oorzaken voedselcrisis • Stijging aardolieprijs. Productie voedsel duurder. • Klimaatcrisis  meer natuurrampen meer mislukte oogsten

  12. Bb 175. Voedsel • 2 soorten honger: • kwalitatieve honger/ondervoeding: te weinig voedingstoffen in het voedsel. • kwantitatieve honger: te weinig voedsel.
