Waer, E. French, N. Ahmad, P. St. John

  3. End of term Report (March 2011-2013) • Faculty Development: • Journal Club • AMES/OMSE Workshops • Educational Portfolio: • Presented to junior faculty, OMSE, Dept. EM, Assoc. Dean • Referred to Provost on Main Campus • Posted on AMES website, cross-linked to OMSE and Dean’s office • Inserted into P&T process • AMES/OMSE Teaching Scholars Program

End of term Report (March 2011-2013) • Support of Educational Research: • AMES Research Grants: • 2011: 8 submissions; 5 funded; $21,796 • 2012: 8 submissions; 4 funded; $10,757 • Educational Research Needs Assessment survey • Creation of Educational Research Travel Grants • Medical Student Educational Research support • Participated in selection of Director of Medical Education Research (OMSE).

End of term Report (March 2011-2013) • College of Medicine support: • Creation and support – Project Medical Education (AAMC); 1 event hosted, 1 in progress • Creation of AMES Block & Clerkship Awards; ad hoc Review Committee • COM Committee service: P&T, Admissions, Clinical Curriculum, Dean’s Council on Faculty Affairs, Student Progress, Dean’s Faculty Advisory committee, Nominating Committee

  6. End of term Report (March 2011-2013) • Outreach & Communication: • AMES website broadened, more content added, cross-linked to OMSE & UACOM Main Admin websites • AMES logo created, approved and authorized • AMES listserve created • Letter to Gov. Brewer in opposition to HB 2067

  7. End of term Report (March 2011-2013) • Ideas in progress: • Tenured Educator Track • Host a National Speaker for Education-Themed symposium • Host combined “meet & greet” with both campuses.
