Settlement Observations- Summary • Summer weather in 2011 more volatile to prices for both HB/LZ and Ancillary Services impacting cost to serve load • Weather 2012 was still above average, but below 2011 • Market Prices continue the trend of declining from 2011 compared to 2012 even with weather impact excluded • Lower Nat Gas prices • Fewer intervals of high price spikes • West Zone to Hub continues to see price separation • Revenue Neutrality trending a bit higher in September indicating payments for PTP’s in Real Time with a financial bias

CSWG Initiatives • NPRR 347 on track for implementation in November 2012 which will change the Real Time Invoicing process/cycle • Settlement Issues • Resettlement of Zonal Operating Day due to ADR • RENA analysis continues • Prepay discussions with Credit for small invoices • System-wide RUC- NPRR language discussed to provide System Wide RUC reporting metrics daily (Make-whole, Clawback, Short-fall and Uplift)

NPRR 347 Implementation Plan • Last DAM Invoice is for Operating Day 11/7, • Posts on 11/9 • Payments due to ERCOT on 11/15, on the 3rd BBD • Last RTM Invoice posts on 11/15 • Payments due to ERCOT on 11/26, on the 5th BBD • First Settlement Invoice posts on 11/12 • Payments due to ERCOT on 11/14, on the 2nd BBD • Settlement Calendar • Entries for Settlement Invoices will be added in October • DAM Invoice and RTM Invoice entries will be deleted in November • Link to ERCOT presentation: http://www.ercot.com/calendar/2012/07/20120716-CSWG

NPRR 347 Implementation Plan • Initial XML document outlining the invoice format will be available in advance for participants to begin formatting their systems for the changes • Limited Testing will be available to ensure Market Participants can retrieve invoices in their new format • Participants are encouraged to continue to follow CSWG for updates and information
