  2. distribution Most Earthworms that we see today were imported by European settlers in the 18th century. They added soil to the worms and shipped them to North America. After the ships released the worms, the worms found new homes and were used as bait to catch fish. Earthworms are world wide species which can be in just about every country from north to south, east to west.

  3. Effects on people Earthworms are very important when interacting with humans. The quality of our soil depends heavily on the activity of earthworms. Earthworms break down dead matter and also aerate soil. They create fertile soil and are also a food source for many other creatures.

  4. Reasons for success Earthworms are successful in this world because they help others. They feed off of dead animals and waste. That is all the nutrition that plants need to grow. When this helps the plants, it helps what ever feeds off of that and the cycle starts again. So, earthworms are a big help to the economy and that’s why they are so successful.
