  4. The Man He was certainly “poor in spirit” due to his condition. He was able to connect his healing to God’s power. He was forgiven of his sins by the power of the Son of God

  6. Jesus Christ Jesus showed compassion Jesus knew he wanted to get well, why did He ask? Jesus saw this man’s need for a loving Savior.

  8. Pharisees Their focus was diverted They didn’t want to be made “well”. Jesus tried to show them how accessible their salvation was.
