  1. Spend Your Vacation with Jodhpur Travel Destination Jodhpur "The Sun City" was established by Rao Jodha, a head of the Rathore group, in 1459. It is named after him as it were. Jodhpur in Rajasthan, India was already known as Marwar. Jodhpur is the second biggest city in Rajasthan. It is partitioned into two sections - the old city and the new city. The old city is isolated by a10 km long divider encompassing it. Additionally it has eight Gates driving out of it. The new city is outside the walled city.
