Tech Prep Regional Purpose Increase the number of students enrolled in Career-Technical Education Tech Prep programs by expanding the quantity and quality of secondary/postsecondary CTE pathways Facilitate neutral high school- college partnerships for Articulation Agreement/ Program of Study development. Collect data for state reporting Priority #2: Support effective college-ready assessment & remediation strategies

  3. Expanded postsecondary options • Postsecondary components of CTE pathways can include certificates, credentials and apprenticeship programs offered at adult career centers, 2-year colleges and 4-year colleges

  4. Who is in the SW Region? Greater Cincinnati Tech Prep Miami Valley Tech Prep Ohio South Tech Prep 9 Colleges—16 Career-Tech Districts—15 Counties

  5. ODE & OBR Grant Expectations • Business and industry needs are reflected in pathways • Bilateral agreements reflect quarter to semester conversion • POS development and support • Facilitate professional development on behalf of ODE & OBR • Increase awareness and build support for Tech Prep Pathway Development

  6. Regional Deliverables • Support area curriculum teams to update articulation agreements and facilitate CTE-26 POS • Create enriched pathway models for engineering, manufacturing and IT • Support student transition to postsecondary credit opportunities • Develop access and reporting of the SW database • Offer high quality professional development
