The debate over science and Technology • Throughout history people have been faced with questions driven by new scientific and technological discoveries. • SCIENCE impacts society at every level. • SOCIETY dictates the boundaries of science. • In a democracy, every citizen has a voice in determining that interaction. • SOON YOU WILL HELP MAKE THE DECISIONS….. Impressive!!But,as with all major scientific or technological advances, it raises some questions. • As you heard in the video, legal requirements force a driver to be in the car. • However a driver is not needed to drive the car. • Do you think the law should be changed ? • Could a 7 year old who missed the school bus be allowed to take a driver less car to school ? • What if it was your brother or sister ?
