Our homework policy ensures students start each quarter with a fresh slate. Communication is key, so please stay in touch via email or through your child's agenda. Third Grade Homework Policy • “No Homework” will be recorded quarterly. Each quarter students will start with a clean slate. • First strike= warning • Second strike= 15 minutes of recess time • Third strike= 15 minutes of recess time, contact parents • Fourth strike= Lunch and recess detention in the office with principal

Healthy Snack • We will have a HEALTHY snack in the morning. (Fruit or Vegetable) This will be around 10:00. (Lunch is at 12:15) We do have an allergy student, so please follow the fruit or vegetable snack. • Students can have a water bottle here at school. Please write their name on it. This can be used for gym and in the classroom.

Academics -95% or above in Math, Reading, SS, Science, Eng. 3. Responsibility -completes tasks on time, has materials/books 4. Positive Attitude - must have an E on report card 5. Special Areas (this is new!) S or above in all areas- Art, Music, Gym, Computer Lab
Report Cards/Interims • Report Cards come home quarterly • Interims come home mid-quarter -students receiving a 75 or below -teacher discretion Always check Progressbook!
Attendance Policy • Attendance Policy • *5 tardies= 1 day absence • *You may have 8 days with a parent note, after that must have a doctor note. • *5 APPROVED vacation days (send in a note ahead of time to Mrs. Stratton for approval) • -These days will count as part of the 8 days above • *Absent notes must be brought in within 2 days to be excused. Vacation days must be approved by Mrs. Stratton. • *Unexcused absences can have up to 80% credit given on assignments • *Make-up work will be given upon return from vacation
Outdoor Recess Policy • Recess is at 11:45 • Students will be expected to go outside if it is 32 degrees or warmer, including wind chill • New playground equipment! Thank you!
