Key Points: • Paramount that we attain maximum commitment from the students involved • Providing concrete examples of projects that we might engage in • Contact all of the chairs of the Arts Departments here at Wake • Go to professors of related classes and get them to allow students to participate for extra credit? • Sustaining interest over the long haul even if there is strong initial interest – need to create sustainable interest and history Dr. Carter

Key Points: • Working with other campus organizations will help ArtServicE gain a foothold • Interdisciplinary • Must put a significant amount of time and effort into putting together a team of dedicated students who are willing to put a lot of time, energy, and passion into this venture • Contact directors of the Meg Hudson Memorial Concerts for examples and ideas Dr. Goldstein

Key Points: • Invite people from the region who are already involved with cross-disciplinary niches to perform • This would enhance our capacity to build these bridges between the arts and have a larger community connection • Bring more legitimacy • Opportunity to talk about how the arts already are a socially-engaged group of people with very particular skills and talents and tendencies and actually foster collaboration within the frameworks - Compare with some other student institutions and see what they have Lynn Book

Assessment: Social Value Embedded Social Enterprise Features: - Business activities and social programs synonymous - Enterprise activities are “embedded” within the organizations operations and social programs Strengths: - Self-financed through enterprise revenues which makes them sustainable - Comprehensive relationship between business activities and social programs allows for financial and social benefits simultaneously
