The Technology Transfer Initiative (TTI) launched on May 31, 1999, is aimed at addressing the industry's needs in West, Mid-West, and South Ireland. Support for R&D EU CRAFT • enable groups of SMEs to undertake joint research by contracting research to an outside research supplier. EU 6th FRAMEWORK • gives Irish researchers an opportunity to collaborate with leading European companies and research organisations at the cutting edge of technology, with the support of EU funding WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? • A company - large or small - with the capacity to contribute to a research project • A Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) which does not have its own research capability, or an industrial association representing SMEs, or • A research group at a university or at a research institute
