Understanding how to maintain your legal status as an international student is crucial for avoiding serious consequences such as visa termination, employment ineligibility, and inability to transfer schools. Essential requirements include maintaining a full course of study, up-to-date immigration documents, and compliance with regulations regarding employment. Travel must be carefully managed, ensuring all documents are valid, while health insurance is mandatory. Additionally, students must be aware of off-campus work opportunities and tax obligations. For more details, visit Longwood University's Office of International Affairs.
