  2. Prayers: 1. Thank God every time you remember the person. 2. Make requests with joy. 3. Thank God for their part in the gospel. 4. Ask God to continue the work that He has begun in the person.

  3. Prayers: 5. Pray that their love would grow in knowledge and discernment. 6. That they value the good and are sincere and without offense. 7. Be filled with the fruits of righteousness to glorify God.

  4. Important words: -remembrance: recollection, recital, a prayer list? -prayer: petition, request -confident: convinced by argument beyond any doubt -complete: fulfill, accomplish, carry out knowledge: full recognition

  5. Important words: -discernment: perception, judgment -approve: to value because of previous testing -sincere: judged by sunlight--transparent -offense: not led into sin -fruits of righteousness: acts of Christian character

  6. Sample prayer: God, with joy I thank You for _______. Thank You for _______'s part in the gospel. Continue to accomplish the work of salvation and growth that You began in _______. I pray that _______'s love would grow in knowledge and discernment. May _______ see what is really of value. Make _______ a transparent person who does not give in to sin.
