  4. DIRECTIONS For Blue Mountain Gurudwara Sahib From Philadelphia and points East: I-76 West to MORGANTOWN EXPY / I-176 N via EXIT 298 toward MORGANTOWN / READING. Take US-422 W via EXIT 11B on the LEFT toward READING. Take the left EXIT onto US-222 N. Take the PA-183 EXIT towards the Reading Airport. Take PA-183 (becomes Bernville Rd.) North towards Pottsville for 14.5 miles. Turn left onto Schubert Rd. and follow for 1.2 miles. The Gurudwara will be on the left. From Harrisburg and points South: Travel on Route 81 North to Route 78 East, via EXIT 17. Turn left onto Route 419 towards Pottsville for ¼ mile. Turn right onto Schubert Road and follow for ½ mile. The Gurudwara will be on the right. From Gurudwara Sahib to Holiday Inn I-78 West to 81 South Exit 1B. Merge onto 83 South Exit 70. Take Exit 40A Limekiln Road. Turn Right onto Sheraton Drive.

  6. CCeremony Etiquette TThese policies should be followed inside the Gurdwara Sahib and these policies are mandatory. Remove your shoes before entering the Diwan Hall (ceremony room) or the Langar Hall (food room). Shoe racks are available inside the entrance hall of the Gurdwara. Cover your head at all times while inside the Diwan Hall and Langar room. Scarfs will be provided. No hats please WWash hands before entering the Diwan Hall. Bow in front of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji (holy book) when joining the sangat (congregation) inside the Diwan Hall. Members of the sangat may offer money to the Gurdwara. \Everyone sits with their feet facing away from Guru Granth Sahib Ji (cross-legged, legs to the side or back) on the carpeted floor facing the Guru Granth Sahib Ji when inside the Diwan Hall, dress with this in mind. The custom at this Gurdwara is for females to sit on the left and for males to sit on the right. (children can sit on either side with parents). EEveryone stands up during the Ardas (common prayer to God). IIt is normal and acceptable during the music for people to get up and go outside at any time if they want to stretch their legs, talk, have something to eat, or go to the bathroom. SSwitch off any mobile phone before entering the Diwan hall. NNo alcohol, tobacco, smoking or meat is allowed on the Gurdwara premises.
