  2. Who is Banksy ? Banksy is a pseudonymous United Kingdom based, graffiti artist, political activist, film director, and painter who was born in 1974 and raised in Bristol. His satirical street art  combines dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stencilling  technique. His artistic works of political and social commentary have been featured on streets, walls, and bridges of cities throughout the world.Known for his contempt for the government in labelling graffiti as vandalism, Banksy displays his art on publicly visible surfaces such as walls, even going as far as to build physical prop pieces. Banksy does not sell photographs or reproductions of his street graffiti, however, art auctioneers have been known to sell his street art on location and leave the problem of its removal in the hands of the winning bidder.

  3. What does Girl With Balloon say to people? Letting go of her heart, her innocence…. “why didn’t you buy one when you had the chance?” “ if you love someone, set them free” “ You can Love, but if you don’t grasp on it ,it will drift and fly away like a balloon” “don’t let go of the things you love!”

Now…Let’s Read The Painting On the surface, at first glance, this is simply a charming painting of a small child reaching for her lost heart-shaped balloon, with the balloon being the one and only bright spot of color in the work. Viewed simply on that level, this is a wonderful piece of street art. But perhaps there is more to it. Perhaps Banksy has a deeper message here. It is possible to look at this piece of urban art and see nothing more than what is there on the surface ‘’and if that is the case then nothing is really lost because as a simple, charming piece of art, Girl with Balloon stands alone ‘’

  5. And let’s see the other side of the meaning It’s possible, however, that the meaning Banksys Girl with Balloon is much deeper than simply, a cute and somewhat evocative painting. What if we see the balloon ‘’the only spot of color in the work’’ drawing the viewer’s eye and attention as something more than simply child’s toy? A balloon can be more than a balloon. It can be symbolic. And this balloon is heart-shaped. It can stand for our dreams, our aspirations , even for innocence or love.
