  1. Welcome toRichard Shamoon

  2. Richard Shamoon All of the auto executives whom Richard Shamoon interviewed in the course of the study were convinced that innovation was one of the most important success factors to maintaining a strong competitive position in the auto market. Innovation is also a key to resolving most of the global challenges that the industry faces. Without innovations by the auto industry, the entire concept of individual mobility is put at risk.

  3. Richard Shamoon Richard Shamoon, confidence shocks, and false starts for growth, the disarray seems to be undermining the timid recoveries in most economies since the start of the year. And yet the automotive market seems to be getting its color back. When we look at global production, it seems the crisis has (finally) been erased and auto makers are returning to pre2009 annual growth rates of around +4%. Also, the presaged end of the car has not eventuated. Despite an apparent social preference for usage over ownership, the emergence – although slowed – of middle classes continues to fuel car sales. After all, with a little more wealth people always do the same thing, and this since the industrial revolution.

  4. Greatbusinessman Looking at ten or so markets, including the Canada, Europe, and the BRICs, the opportunities and economic risks facing these countries are quite clear. With tumbling markets in Thailand, Brazil, Russia, and Argentina, poor profitability among European players and excessive profitability in the Chinese market, the automotive sector corroborates the broad macroeconomic trends and provides a glimpse of what is to come, which is actually quite positive. We also see that Japan is doing wonders in its automotive market thanks to an aggressive economic policy, and that the Chinese market needs to consolidate and revise its pricing to shift up a gear. There is both good news and more to be done, while the Paris Motor Show in a few weeks will continue to pique our imagination between innovation, design, and hedonism.

  5. Best car dealerRichardshamoon Most car drivers want sound, reliable products at affordable prices. The total cost of ownership will remain the most important buying factor – a fact that limits the number of successful innovations in the auto industry. Today, the entire innovation process, from the customer, the car dealer and the OEM marketing department to R&D at both OEMs and suppliers, is highly inefficient and ineffective. Within the next ten years, approximately EUR 800 billion will be spent on R&D – roughly 40 percent of that money will be invested incorrectly. For this reason, every OEM and supplier must screen its innovation portfolio to identify the innovations that really promise to meet the driver’s needs. An integrated and focused marketing plan will help position the concept of innovation in the driver’s mind.
