  1. What are the limitations of Cloud Testing? Cloud Testing is a method of conducting software testing through internet on a cloud-based server. With features like data back-up, security, data centralization, sharing, remote access to mobile app testing services websites, unlimited storage etc. it has stunned the Testing world. Though it has become a vital and mandatory element for the QA testing companies and there’s no point in arguing over its advantages in Software Testing outsourcing with cloud computing, but there are certain limitations or drawbacks that it might possess. Let’s take a look; ● The primary aspect of the concept behind Cloud computing is internet. So, the first disadvantage of Cloud Testing can be considered as the poor connection, bad server signals or no access to internet. This can be really frustrating especially if something like this happens during an ongoing Software Testing process. It can bring the Testing to a halt and might affect the previous work also. If the internet connection has a low bandwidth, Testers might not be able to access the premium features of the cloud testing. Low bandwidth directly affects the quality of the testing. Same is the case if the internet is used by too many people or used for various activities such as downloading movies, playing online games simultaneously. This can seriously affect the Testing speed and hinder the performance. Although the servers used for cloud testing are highly secured but who can rule out the possibility of a pliable cyber-attack or data theft threat. The Cloud Testing services servers have strict agreements which the Testing companies have to abide by. This can prove to be disadvantageous for some developers and clients. Although the testing through cloud server proves to be cheaper than the traditional Testing, but some additional features (that might be essential) can cost the users more. So, it’s better to first do a cost comparison analysis, then begin the Testing process. The users might sometimes experience issues related to the Testing Software’s compatibility with the hardware configurations on device they are using for Testing. Because of the remote servers its not just difficult but impossible to run the applications locally even if you want. This gives the Testers lack of control over the Testing functions. ● ● ● ● ● ● ●
