Storing Nuclear Waste

This educational activity focuses on storing nuclear waste and understanding different volcano types. Students will explore definitions and implications of active, dormant, and extinct volcanoes, alongside the nature of nuclear waste – a byproduct of energy production that poses potential dangers. The activity includes reading assignments, discussion questions, and a table-filling exercise to enhance comprehension. Participants will also engage in vocabulary building and analytical questions to deepen their understanding of how nuclear energy works and its related challenges.
