  2. About Sushumna Yoga Sonja Appel is the founder of Sushumna Yoga School & Studios (registered Yoga School - RYT), started up in Delhi in 2005. In 2008, Sonja moved to Goa and set up there with her partner GitaSahni. She leads retreats and two yoga teacher trainings each year at Sushumna in Aquatica, Ashwem.

Experience Sonja has been practicing yoga for sixteen years and has thirteen intensive years of experience of teaching Yoga and twenty five years’ experience of teaching Pilates in London, India and Nepal. She has attended workshops with David Swenson, SharatRangaswamy, ShriSheshadri, Cathy Louise Broda, Leela Miller, John Scott, Michael Gannon, Edward Clarke, Claire Best, Anna Ashby, Simon Borg Olivier to name only a few.
