  1. CAS - Why Serve? • Only a life lived for others is a life worthwhile.” Albert Einstien

  2. What is CAS? • experiential component of IB Programme • reflect on growth as you work towards goals • 150 hours in three areas over 2 years • must by adult supervised activities

  3. Creativity: • most imaginative • new role • choose something that you want to learn, share with others, plan or experience • examples: speed-reading class, drama, guitar classes, and more

  4. Action • physical activity or physical exertion outside of the regular school curriculum • students need to develop a wide range of activities to enrich the whole student • examples: camping trips, coaching soccer, jogging, lifting weights, volleyball and more

  5. Service • choose and participate in projects that you give of yourself • contribute to a global society • conducted on Wednesday afternoons between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. • This year: Old Ladies, teaching English, Special Olympics, Nido, and music classes.
