  4. Opinions • The Iraq soldiers killed the hostage for no reason. I think they were crazy.

  5. When we praise a work of non-fiction we say things like • This book is very informative. • I have learnt a good deal that I didn’t know before. • This book explains these concepts very clearly. • This book presents a lot of information in a very interesting way. • The layout is very attractive and the graphics are excellent.

  6. If we want to criticize a work of non-fiction, we say • I found the book rather confusing. • The author didn’t have any direction. • The book had little to say . • The illustrations are not helpful • The diagrams are not attractive.

  8. Understanding a Biography • While reading a story , always think of the following questions: • Who is this person? • Is this person a good person or a bad person? • Why do we have to study this person?

  9. He died while saving the victims in the fire. He was a hero.

  10. What event made this person famous?
