  1. ORAL HEALTH

  2. Introduction • There are so many good habits you want to develop in your children. Establishing positive oral hygiene practices is one of the most important. If you introduce a child to brush and float in a way that is more fun than a job, they are more likely to take good care of their mouth in the long run. They are more likely to look forward to meeting their best dentist in Chennai • Here are some tips for placing a positive spin on oral health.

  3. Start at the beginning • A child does not need to worry about teeth to get used to oral care. Gently wipe their gums with a linen cloth or sad rag and you will do when it comes to teeth. Make sure to laugh when you do this! When their first tooth arrives, start brushing it for your dye.

  4. Chunk check • Make fun open mouth faces in front of the mirror to help children raise awareness of how clean (or not clean!) Their teeth are. They will look forward to waving you with their new face, and they will learn to combine oral care with fun.

  5. Start with self-directed slow brushing • By age 3, children can begin to take ownership of their oral care to an extent. But don't ask or expect that they will go it alone at this point. They will need your help a little more. But when you gently delegate responsibility to them, you can explain that their new freedom is a reward for a "better brush and float."

  6. Remember that you are a role model • When you see your children take time to brush and float - even if life is a little messy - it brings home the importance of oral care. Encourage them to look at your oral care routine and, when you are finished, comment on how clean and how good your mouth feels.
