  1. 5 Things You Should Know Before Going Gluten-Free While many people hold doubts about going gluten-free these days, one must be aware of certain facts before landing in such a choice. But, what do they suppose regarding the proposal? You might not expect gluten in certain components, like malt, brewer’s yeast, soy sauce, natural flavors, modified food starch, vitamin, and mineral supplements where it remains camouflaged. Therefore, don’t forget to go through the ingredient label of such products. If you have been taking gluten pills, that does not simply give you the license to consume gluten content deliberately. FDA does not seem to evaluate the claims put forward by these brands which might work as a fail-safe in case someone has eaten something contaminated with gluten. Gluten is one of the major proteins to cause problems and is present in different types of wheat including bulgur, durum, semolina, spelt, farro, barley, rye, and triticale. Again, it can be spotted in various brands of chocolate, imitation crab, deli meats, soy sauce, and some kinds of toothpaste. One doesn't need to avoid gluten completely unless they are affected by celiac disease. Only 1% of the population belongs to such a category. But, one might need to cut back on their gluten consumption as a whole. If taken a look back, we are already in a state of "gluten overload," where many people continue to suffer from gluten sensitivity regardless of their ages. Now that if you happen to be gluten- sensitive, don’t panic about giving up gluten entirely. The best procedure to explore one’s trend would be to stay away from gluten for a few weeks led by gradually reintroducing it to your food habits. While you might go gluten-free, the food habit can fatten your figure due to the consumption of gluten- free packaged products that come high in saturated fat, sugar, and sodium containing high-glycemic refined ingredients such as white rice flour or fillers.
