  1. Mike Hessen Believes India’s Top Order And New Zealand Pacers Could Decide Result of WTC Final Former New Zealand head coach Mike Hesson has said that both India and New Zealand can win the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) final which starts at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton from June 18 as well. Image source by twitter He again said that he is keenly looking forward to see how the India’s top-order will play against the swinging ball in Southampton when the cross breeze comes into play. He also added that it will be a test of captaincy for both Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson, as the wicket will change from day to day during the game. “They are even (India and New Zealand). The fact that it’s being played at a neutral venue also makes the WTC final an even contest. Assuming there are no injuries in the next couple of weeks, both sides will be at full strength, and we are in for an exciting contest,” said Hesson to The Times of India. “I am keen to see how India’s top-order fares against the swinging ball. The ball does a bit in Southampton and as the cross breeze comes into play, it can be a challenge for the batsmen. How the Indian top order plays the New Zealand pacers could decide the outcome,” he again shared. It is also noteworthy that, Mike Hesson has also worked with India captain Virat Kohli as he was the director of cricket operations with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and also added that both Kohli and Kane Williamson are good leaders, and the WTC final would be a test of their captaincy skills too.

They will play a five-match Test series after the much-anticipated summit clash.
