  1. Ramiz Raja Slams England’s Double Standards in Handling COVID Former Pakistan cricketer Ramiz Raja has said that the ‘West needs to acknowledge the spirit of subcontinent and commitment to the game’ while giving the hint at England’s double standards as far as their dealing is concerned with cricket amid COVID-19. Image source by twitter Raja said that the Pakistan team is continuing with their England tour despite seven members of the England team, including three players, have been tested positive for COVID-19. But they had left their tour of South Africa mid-way last year after COVID-19 breached the bio bubble. “England team suffer at the hands of COVID yet Pakistan team stays. South Africa had one player with symptoms of covid in Dec and England chose to leave quoting mental challenges. West needs to acknowledge the spirit of sub continent and commitment to the game… nahin??," he asked on Twitter. Notably, on Tuesday, COVID hit the England team, where players and support staff got affected by the deadly virus an it also forced the ECB to announce a new squad for the ODI series against Pakistan. The new squad will be led by the all-rounder Ben Stokes and it has nine uncapped players too. Amid this, the Pakistan Cricket Board has said that it is satisfied with the arrangements made by ECB.

The PCB has also been in touch with its team management and has advised them to exercise extra caution while in the hotel or at the match venue," the PCB said in its official statement.
