  5. 2006-2007 • Clean the Data: Ensure Data Consistency and Accuracy • Align SPS Databases: Ensure that all Databases Reference the Same Data • Pilot Student ePortfolios, for Students Moving from Grade 5 to Grade 6

  6. 2007-2008 • Establish Data Ownership • Consolidate Data – Remove Redundant Data Sources • Create a Data Dictionary so that all Data Elements are Consistent • Document and Post Critical District Business Processes • Establish Process Ownership

  7. 2007-2008 • Implement Data Warehouse • Awarded 2-Year Grant, $100,000 per year • Install Hardware • Install Software • Training – 81 Seats • Create Data Marts (repositories of a specific type of data) • Begin Enterprise Integration –Research Multiple Databases, Spreadsheets, etc. that Needed to be Consolidated • Form Data Team • Review SPS Data Tools • Pilot Student ePortfolios, for Students Moving from Grade 8 to Grade 9

  8. 2008-2009 • Data and Business Intelligence Team • Representatives from Stakeholder Groups • Discuss Strategies • Develop Procedures • Advise Technology Department • Make Recommendations to Dr. Ingram

  10. 2008-2009 • Continue Data Warehouse Training • September 2008 – 60 Seats • Ongoing Training – Two Sessions per Month • Role-Dependent Data Dashboards • Role-Dependent Scorecards • Pilot ePortfolios - Within School, between Grades (e.g., Central High School Student Portfolios for Students moving from Grade 9 to Grade 10)
