When a patient develops a pressure ulcer it has a negative impact on their entire hospitalization. Legislation requires we report all Stage III or IV pressure ulcers that develop within our facilities.

    5. Standard of Practice Every patient admitted to a HealthEast Hospital will be assessed for the presence of skin breakdown and the risk of developing a pressure ulcer. When a problem, or its potential, are identified appropriate care will be implemented and interventions and the response to the interventions documented.
