Toward a Content Philosophy • Principles of academic freedom and learner discovery • Acessioning at the collection level, for scalability • Accessioning priorities set with stakeholder representatives, with goals of breadth, depth, & educational value • De-accessioning (rare) under guidelines set by a board of experts in library principles • Educational value, relative to age-specific and other contexts, to be manifest in capabilities for annotation and selective filtering, rather than an accession threshhold
