  2. Speech to Text • Dragon Naturally Speaking: Voice recognition application; user is able to dictate and have speech transcribed as written text or audio stream

  3. Text to Speech Readers • ReadPlease: Text to speech reader • Ginger: Text to speech reader; able to read web pages, emails and documents; Proofreading, spelling and grammar check in any application

  4. Also… • Zoom Text: screen magnifier • Thermo-Pen: a thermal pen designed for use in the creation of tactile images and messages; creates a raised image directly on tactile graphics paper

  5. Assistive Technology Available in Library • Housed in the Assistive Technology Suite in the lower level of the Library.

  6. Duxbury: Braille translation program which translates electronic documents into Braille documents

  7. Dragon Naturally Speaking: Voice recognition application; user is able to dictate and have speech transcribed as written text or audio stream • JAWS II: screen reading software; information via text to speech or by Braille display; makes it easier to use programs, edit documents, and read Web pages

  8. J-Say Pro: brings together Dragon Naturally Speaking and JAWS; controls the rate of the speech synthesizer, quiets JAWS, surf the internet, etc.; able to control through voice commands

  9. WYNN Wizard 5.10: Scanning and reading software; scan printed pages and convert them into electronic text; text able to be read aloud; can also read word processing docs, PDF files, text files and internet. • Ginger: Text to speech reader; able to read web pages, emails and documents; Proofreading, spelling and grammar check in any application • Zoom Text: Screen magnifier
