When you are choosing, please keep in mind the following information: Always check for a current Maryland home improvement license, preferably with a low number. Make sure your concrete contractors have all the required insurance, general liability and workers compensation. Check the Better Business Bureau for the number of complaints filed against the contractor and see if they were settled. Never hire out-of-state concrete contractors, as warranty issues could be a problem. Try to get at least 3 estimates, but be careful if one price is too low. Always agree to a firm fixed price and any additional work price agreed to before job is completed.
