  7. Knocking on wood Good luck! People think knocking on wood will make what they say NOT come true!

  8. Really? My brother is driving tonight during the snow storm! So many people get into accidents when it snows. Oh no! Knock on wood!

  9. Walking undera ladder… Bad luck! People thought it meant you believed in the devil.

  10. A frog coming into your house Good luck! People think you will get a lot of money soon!

  11. Breaking a mirror… Bad luck! Brings you seven years of bad luck because it breaks your soul!

  12. Opening anumbrella indoors… Bad luck! If you do bad luck will “rain” on you and your house!

  13. Covering your mouth when you yawn Lucky! People thought evil ghosts would come into your body when you opened your mouth.

  14. A bird flying into your house Bad luck! People believe that someone you love will soon die.

  15. Spilling salt Bad luck! Salt was very expensive in the past and to waste it would bring bad luck. To have good luck, throw it over your left shoulder!

  16. Picking up a penny Good luck! In the past, people thought metal was lucky and pennies are made of metal! "Find a penny, pick it up. All day long, you'll have good luck."

  18. 13 Very bad luck! We have 10 fingers and 2 feet (12) to help us count. But the number after 12 is a mystery.
