  2. Representation • ‘You’ve got a friend’ lyrics reassuring they will always be there- loyal friend. • Different locations- showing us whenever, wherever they are always there to help.

  3. Representation • The AA advert represents themselves as a ‘loyal friend’ to their customers. This is reinforced by the lyrics that come from the song ‘you’ve got a friend’. As the song is played during the advert various people unite and sing this to one another. This is part of AA reassuring their customers they are there to help. The different settings suggest no matter the time or place AA will always be there as a loyal car service for when you need it the most.

  4. Audience • Appealing to the people that drive, a wider age range. Aimed for the people that need a repair on their car urgently. • Young and rubicam- aimed at the mainstream, sense of security.

  5. Audience • The target audience is for people who drive obviously this being a wider age range. The main aim is to help the people that need a repair on their car urgently. Looking into the ‘young and rubicam’ theory I would say this advert would aim at the ‘mainstream’. This is because the mainstream live in a world of domestic and the everyday. They seek 'security‘ which i feel the AA are trying to give to their customers. The idea of showing normal everyday people in this advert gives a realistic view on things and helps it fit in with the ‘mainstream’ audience.

  6. Institution • Reliable service for customers • Slogan at the end ‘you’ve got a friend’
