  1. The Scooter: A Modern Alternative to Driving We all have places to be that require some form of transportation every day. More and more, the process of getting to where we need to go is getting complicated. Whether it is in the city, countryside or suburbs, running errands or just getting to work our daily transportation can involve a number of travel options that create hassles for us. Electric scooters could be the answer to this modern problem. Compact, lightweight, and fun, electric scooters provide a speedy option for anyone living an on-the-go lifestyle. Cost is No Barrier Of all the alternate forms of travel available these days, an electric scooter is one of the most affordable. Less expensive than electric cars and bikes, electric scooters allow anyone ownership with no or minimal licensing requirements. Because they are electric, electric scooter users will save money on fuel while they are reducing their carbon footprint. Most electric scooter models take only 3 hours to charge, providing up to 20 miles of travel on a full charge. Because they have so few parts to maintain, they will require less maintenance, saving their owner's even more money in the long run. Ease of Use Non-motorized scooters have been around for decades as a fun alternative for kids from bicycles. Learning to ride a scooter is easy for kids as well as adults. There is almost nothing to an electric scooter’s handlebars, deck, and wheels, so there is little to maintain, and since the brakes and accelerator are mounted on the handlebars, they are easy to reach for any age user. Most electric models of scooters also allow use with or without the motor, so parents can let the kids play on the scooter without the motor running if they prefer. Some models even come with lights on the back, for added safety. Wide, pneumatic tires offer a smooth ride with less worry about a flat tire. These tires also allow for riding on almost any surface. Convenience Driving in a city means not only navigating traffic but also finding parking. Electric scooters allow riders to travel by road, but because they are light enough to carry or push, they can be taken across sidewalks or into subways. This allows the scooter commuter more flexibility when deciding how to get to school, work, or wherever they want to go. Once they reach their destination, there is no need to worry about paying for parking or finding a parking space. Electric scooters can be parked in very small spaces, locked to a bike rack, or just taken inside with their owner. This means that they save time on not only getting from point to point but also on parking and not having to stop at gas stations.
