Tripoli Libya Africa Arabic is the official language, Olives, Dates and Petrol are some of the biggest exports. 107 BCE: Northwestern Libya is conquered by Rome, and comes under administration of Africa Proconsularis which has its administrative centre around Carthage. The region becomes later a province of its own, under the name of Tripolitania. 1911: Italian invasion, and a battle over control of Libya starts. The Sanussiys become the leaders of Libyan resistance 1964: Negotiations between Libya and Britain and USA on cessation on military installations in Libya. 1966: April 28th Zandra Jo Richardson (Clay) is born. 1967: June. Families begin to evacuate as the Six-day War looms near.

  7. I can remember riding over this on a windy day. I am still uncomfortable on bridges and it is 33 years later.

  12. Denison Texas Founded in 1872, Denison is a railroad gown. 1873 Denison becomes the first city in Texas to have a free graded public school. The first public school opened here Feb. 6, 1873. On May, 7 1873, the Denison City Council selected the Main Street location of what was to become Texas' first free graded public school. Known as "The Educational Institute," the school was formally opened Oct. 12, 1874. Denison had the tallest building in Texas in the late 1800's, it was the Security Building which was located on the northeast corner of Main and Burnett. 1890 Birthplace of Dwight D. Eisenhower 1901 Denison was the first town in Texas to provide free delivery of rural mail.
